Microsoft 365 Price Increase

Microsoft 365 prices will increase globally from 1 July 2026, affecting business, not for profit organisations and government customers of all sizes. The update applies across popular plans such as Business BasicBusiness Standard, and Enterprise tiers. However, Microsoft 365 Business Premium customers will not be impacted.

Microsoft points to major investment in AI features and enhanced security as the drivers behind the change and this is only the second price increase since subscriptions were launched in 2011. However, this also means organisations need to plan to avoid cost surprises at renewal.  Below is an example of what to expect.

Existing annual renewals will not increase until the next renewal date, clients who are on a monthly commitment will witness the price rise next month, however if they commit to an annual renewal prior to 1st July, it will defer the price increase for a further 12mths.

In October 2025 we highlighted the benefits of Microsoft Intune, which is part of Microsoft 365 Business Premium, offering enhanced security, conditional access whereby we can set up a client specific centralised standard operating environment.

Integer IT recommends Microsoft 365 Business Premium as the best value platform for an entry level secure environment and the price between Microsoft 365 STD and Premium has narrowed with this announcement.

This is an ideal time to reassess whether licensing, security controls, and usage are aligned when assessing business risk.
